Engineering Plastics Suppliers In UAE

Polyamide (PA)-Nylon

We have developed engineering plastics in UAE from many years. We are known as premier Engineering Plastics Suppliers In UAE. The broad spectrum of polymer materials used ranges from engineering plastics (such as polyamides, polyacetals / POM) to the class of high-temperature resistant plastics (such as PEEK and polyimides).  Because of their special mechanical properties and the combination of low weight with high temperature and chemical resistance, our engineering plastics are widely used in the automotive, electrical and electronics industries in UAE.  Of all the unmodified nylons, Nylon 101 is the strongest, most rigid and has one of the highest melting points. It is commonly specified for screw machined electrical insulators and food contact parts. It is stocked in both natural and black. Other colors are available on a custom basis. Nylon 101 natural is FDA, USDA, 3A-Dairy and meets the compliance to requirements of NSF/ANSI standard 61.

    Applications:
  • Power
  • Railcars
  • Steel
  • Cement
  • Chemical
  • Grain
  • Minerals & Metals

Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE TEFLON)

PTFE Virgin Grade has the lowest coefficient of all materials and is ideal in applications where lubricants are not desirable as KEYLON® PTFE functions without any lubricants. PTFE has the widest working temperature range of all plastics, from -260°C to 260°C. PTFE is excellent for use in cryogenic applications as shows no embrittlement. KEYLON® PTFE has very good sealing properties. PTFE is not flammable unless in 94% oxygen environment. KEYLON® PTFE is an excellent insulating material. KEYLON® PTFE is not ideal in high wear abrasive applications or in high loading applications. Here filled PTFE is used to improve resistance to load and wear.

    Applications:

Chemical applications, sealing applications, insulating materials in demanding electrical applications, and low friction applications. Gaskets, bearing pads, chemical equipment, valve seats, valves in gas cylinders, bellows etc.

POM (Polyacetal and Delrin)

Polyacetal is a high crystalline thermoplastic with a high level of stability and rigidity as well as good sliding properties and wear resistance with a low level of moisture absorption. Its good dimensional stability, exceptional fatigue resistance and excellent machining properties make Polyacetal a versatile design material also for complex components. It satisfies high surface finish requirements.

There is a difference between homopolymers (POM-H) and copolymers (POM-C),whereby the homopolymers have a somewhat higher degree of density, hardness and stability. Copolymers, however, have a higher impact toughness, greater wear resistance and thermal / chemical resistance.

The Polyacetal semi-finished products that we offer – from which we also manufacture finished products – are produced from POM-C in an extrusion process.

    Applications:
  • Spring elements
  • Bushes
  • Gears
  • Sliding elements
  • Insulators
  • Pump components
  • Casing parts
  • Valves and valve bodies
  • Counter parts
  • Precision parts

Polyvinyl chloride (PVC)

For common applications in the liquid containment arena — ones that just need a dependable blue-collar material — PVC is the way to go. PVC sheet from Quadrant is a good, economical alternative to higher priced materials. Its weldability and compatibility with Type I PVC pipe saves time and money since the PVC-formed container can be directly welded to the PVC pipe, eliminating flanges or other connectors.

    Applications:
  • Tanks
  • Valve bodies
  • Drip trays
  • Hoods and ducting
  • Instrument housings
  • Pump components
  • Secondary containment
  • Structural components

Polypropylene(PP)

PP (heat-stabilized Polypropylene) exhibits a heat deflection temperature that allows the material to be used in repeated steam and autoclave sterilization cycles. It is highly resistant to cleaning agents, disinfectants and various solvents. Typical applications for PP include surgical trays, caddies and instrument components.

The production process includes a special heat-treatment phase that allows for the higher heat deflection temperature and, thus, improved machinability and dimensional stability.

PP shapes are tested and certified for biocompatibility per ISO10993-5 to ensure quality throughout the entire manufacturing process. This offers the designer increased safety, approval facilitation, as well as reduced cost and time to market.

Polyetheretherketone (PEEK)

Polyetheretherketone is a semi-crystalline thermoplastic with excellent sliding properties, very good mechanical properties, even under thermal load and has excellent resistance to chemicals. The high continuous working temperature rounds out the profile of this high-performance plastic and makes it a virtually universally useable design material for highly stressed parts. The polyethere therketone semi-finished products that we offer – from which we also manufacture finished parts – are produced in extrusion or press processes.

    Applications:
  • Gears
  • Friction bearings
  • Spools
  • Fittings (e.g. housings for hot water meters)
  • Valves
  • Piston rings
  • Parts for car engines (e.g. bearing cages)

UHMW-PE

Ultra-high-molecular-weight polyethylene (UHMWPE, UHMW) is a subset of the thermoplastic polyethylene. Also known as high-modulus polyethylene, (HMPE), or high-performance polyethylene (HPPE), it has extremely long chains, with a molecular mass usually between 2 and 6 million amu.

    Applications:

Electronic Stability Programme (ESP) control modules, gear housing, steering-angle sendors, door control devices or airbag connectors

PA6

Polyamide 6 (PA 6) is the best known extruded polyamide and offers a combination of all typical polyamide material properties. Compared to the cast varieties however, this variety displays higher water absorption, is less wear resistant and has less dimensional stability. Furthermore, because of the manufacturing process, only a limited size range and unit weight can be produced. This restricts the design possibilities of the user.

    Applications:
  • Gears and sprockets
  • Hammer heads
  • Impact and shock resistant components

Pa66

PA 66 is used in smaller dimensioned applications and offers higher rigidity and wear resistance compared to PA 6. Compared to the cast varieties, this material also has higher water absorption. Regarding the other properties, PA 66 is comparable to the standard cast type PA 6 G, however it is much more costly. As in the case of PA 6, the manufacturing process limits the size and unit weight which can be produced, and this restricts the design possibilities of the user. Therefore, PA 66 in practical application is replaced to a large extent by the more economical PA 6 G, which can also be produced in almost unlimited sizes.

    Applications:
  • Friction bearings
  • Slide plates
  • Gears and sprockets

Acrylic

Is one of the most commonly used and versatile plastic sheeting materials in the world today. Acrylic Sheets are strong, lightweight, glass-like plastic with excellent outdoor weather ability and optical clarity. Seventeen times stronger than glass, at half the weight, clear acrylic sheets are a safer option as there is less change of breakage. Not only is acrylic sheet a sound, durable option, it is also 100% recyclable. Acrylic Sheets offer unrivalled versatility and is easy to fabricate, glue and bend without the need for specialised tooling.

    Applications:
  • Point of Purchase / Retail / Exhibition displays
  • Shop fitting / Shelving
  • Framing / Model making
  • Signage
  • Architectural applications
  • Glazing
  • Parts for the medical industry
  • Light fittings or roof lighting
  • Screens / Partitions
